In order to compete at the highest level in a more competitive conference, we need to invest in resources at a higher level so that we can maintain our competitive edge. As we move to the Big 12, and to be “Day One Ready” for our advancement into the Big 12 Conference, we had to evaluate our long-range plans to support our student-athletes and programs.

Furthermore, the excitement of hosting teams in Nippert like West Virginia, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State, will see an increased demand for tickets, with interest for season tickets expected to reach an all-time high.

In advance of the 2022 season ticket renewal campaign, here are our planned changes:

Season ticket price changes to reflect the opportunity to compete with our Big 12 peers.

• Please note, season ticket prices have remained flat since 2015, this is the first price change in over six years. 
• Fans will have the ability to adjust their current seats accordingly in the spring of 2022 through our seat selection process.
• A majority of seats will see a 7% to 20% increase in season tickets based on location, coming in-line with standard price levels across the Big 12.
• In some instances, pricing in some zones will decrease based on the new section mapping.

Opportunity for extended payment plans.

• Plans would start as 9-month installments and extend to July.
• Sign up by November 2021: 9-month plan billed through July
• Sign up by December 2021: 8-month plan billed through July
• Sign up by January 2022: 7-month plan billed through July
• Sign up by February 2022: 6-month plan billed through July

Single game price increases to ensure that season ticket holders retain the most value for their loyalty and support.

• Prices will continue to be on a dynamic price model (price change based on demand and inventory available).
• UCATS members will retain their benefit of discounted single game prices for when they need to purchase single game tickets (these tickets are not subject to dynamic pricing).

New Priority Point system.

• Simplified point system that consolidates 'Red' and 'Black' points.
• Fans will keep all historical points and earn additional points based on the new system.

Renewal Timeline

• Renewals will be sent out in early November with a February 28th deadline.

We are committed to being transparent with our changes and know how this may impact those with basketball season tickets. In full transparency and authenticity, here is our plan through the 2023-2024 football and basketball seasons (please note, this is subject to change based on home opponents):

2022-2023 Academic Year

• 2022 Football: Price increases as mentioned in this letter
• 2022-2023 Men's Basketball: Price increase of $15 per season ticket (flat rate increase)
• 2022-2023 Women's Basketball: Price increase planned

2023-2024 Academic Year

• 2023 Football: Potential price increase based on home schedule 2023-2024 
• 2023-2024 Men's Basketball: Repricing and reseating of 5/3^rd Arena based on Priority Points
• Please note, this is the only planned re-seat at this time. 
• 2023-2024 Women's Basketball: No price increase planned

We recognize the need to keep the ability for everyone in our community to access the Bearcats. We strongly believe affordability to watch our teams is paramount for our fan base. Our single game pricing, along with our “get in” season pricing, will remain competitive and affordable.
